Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast PLUS +

Amazing Clear Cast PLUS + is an easy to use clear cast epoxy resin. It has the same great features as the Amazing Clear Cast but now brings the benefit of industry-leading UV resistance. It is easy to use with 1:1 mix ratio by volume, a brilliant high-gloss durable surface and is FDA compliant. Use as a pouring/coating resin or for shallow casts. 

This clear resin works well for both thin coats and deeper casts. Using the Amazing Clear Cast Plus will give your projects industry-leading UV resistance. This one product will allow you to create all sorts of projects; from coating paintings and drink tumblers to making jewellery and other resin craft activities which require a cast up to 3/8" depth.

Our fantastic range of dyes and effects can all be used. The Alumilite Dyes are ideal and come in a huge range of colours, including fluorescent neon colours! For gorgeous shimmers and high quality metal effects, you can use Mica Powder Pigments or the Alumilite Metal Powders. If you want a solid bold colour have look at our Divine Island pigments, or you might want to opt for the mystical wonderful effects you can get with Alcohol inks. You can even use a glow in the dark powder! Don't use water based colourants with this resin.

This resin can be sanded, wet sanded, and buffed and polished once fully cured.

Amazing Clear Cast PLUS + is available in 4 different sizes:

• 16oz (470ml/approx 500 grams). This comes in 2 parts; 8oz part A and 8oz part B. 
• 32oz (940ml/approx 1 kg). This comes in 2 parts; 16oz part A and 16oz part B.
• 1 US Gallon (3.75 litre/approx 4 kg). This comes in 2 parts; 64oz part A and 64oz part B
• 2 US Gallon (7.5 litre/approx 8 kg). This comes in 2 parts; 1 gallon part A and 1 gallon part B.

Mix ratio: 1:1 by volume

Work time: 30-40 min

Pot Life: 30-40 minutes

To help with thickness, keep the Alumilite Clear Cast Plus at a minimum of 21°C or heat the thick side in a bowl of hot tap water for 30 minutes prior to use.

TOP TIP FOR STORAGE: Keep the caps of each resin bottle on tight at all times. Even during use, pour out what you need, then put the caps back on immediately until your next use. This will keep your resin in good working condition for as long as possible. 

Regarding health & safety, we always recommend doing your own research, and make your own decisions on any precautions you need to take. Read the SDS and get advice if needed. We suggest ensuring you have good ventilation, and protect your skin, lungs, and eyes (use nitrile gloves only, don’t use latex with resin). If you work with a large amount of resin, or work with it often, you might want to invest in a VOC filtered face mask.
