Alumilite Dye - Professional quality, highly concentrated dyes for resin.

Professional quality dye colours for resin - which can be opaque or transparent - you choose.

These vividly coloured liquid resin dyes are translucent when used in clear resin (like our Amazing Clear Cast), and opaque when used in white or coloured resins (like our Amazing Casting Resin). Alumilite Dyes are used with resin to give an even and complete colour, with a reacting pigment dye that will never leach.

Add the dye to the "A" side of the resin by weight up to 5% to achieve the colour and tint you desire. One drop goes fa-a-a-a-a-a-r! Really, trust us, try using less than you think you need. Use the smallest amount possible to get your desired colour.

As the dye is so concentrated, if you are working with smaller amounts of resin we recommend you add a speck of the dye to the tip a mixing stick, and stir this in, rather than dispensing from the bottle into the resin.

We carry ten basic colours, five fluorescent colours, and three skin tone colours (perfect for doll making or figure castings).

Supplied in plastic dropper bottle. Give the bottle a good shake before using.

Skin colours: Beige, Dark Brown, Tan

Translucent colours include green**, yellow, red, blue, brown, orange, violet, and ocean blue.

Opaque colours: white, black, the three skin colours, and the five fluorescent colours. Some translucency can be achieved by adding an incredibly small amount of these dyes to clear resin. The opaque colours include fillers which may settle in the bottle. Give it a good shake or stir before using.

**Please note, occasionally, the Alumilite Dye Green is not compatible with epoxy chemistry and can shift to a blue colour. This is due in part to chemistry, but also shift in hues (yellowing) over time of epoxy, causing changes in colour.
