River Tables

Our Alumilite Amazing Deep Pour is a very popular resin for river tables, all our pigments and colourants (apart from Cactus Juice dyes) can be added to this resin. This resin can be poured up to 50mm so it great for larger pours without needing to pour layers.

Another resin that is popular for river tables is our Ecopoxy Flowcast, this new and improved formula is 3 x thinner than before, with improved clarity and even more bio content. It is perfect for River tables and can be poured in up to 13mm layers. Multiple layers can be poured if a deeper death is required.

The heat deflection of these resins is around 42 Degrees C, with this in mind, it is not recommended that hot food or drinks come into contact with this resin for prolonged periods of time.

Do I need to seal the edges of my River Table?

There is conflicting information out there as to whether you need to seal the edges of the wood. It is mainly down to personal preference, we do have customers who seal the edges, we would recommend using a 1:1 coating resin for this such as the Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Epoxy Resin as it is designed to cure in thin layers whereas the resin you'd likely use for the River Table would not be suitable.
