The Alumilite Amazing Opaque Black Casting Resin - cures and turns black in 10 minutes! The Amazing Casting Resin is a super-fast curing, general purpose, opaque-black urethane casting resin. Giving you a solid opaque black base, it takes dyes beautifully.
Amazing Casting Resin is an easy to use black urethane resin that creates a durable casting with perfect cosmetics and intricate details.
Its low viscosity and 1:1 mix ratio by weight make the Amazing Casting Resin extremely easy to use. This really is a super-fast curing resin - it begins to harden in about 3 minutes, and can be de-moulded after about 10 mins! You'll see it harden in front of your eyes! Great if you are impatient. Once cured, it can be painted with acrylic paint, stained, drilled and machined.
Resin must be kept dry and in sealed bottles at all times.
Keep the caps of each resin bottle on tight at all times. Even during use, pour out what you need, then put the caps back on immediately. This will keep your resin in good working condition for as long as possible.
This resin does not like moisture. Ensure moulds and tools are completely dry. Don't use with water-based dyes or colours or alcohol inks, we recommend our Alumilite Dyes, or powder pigments, like Mica Powder Pigments.
TIPS
- Final cured colours will be affected by the opaque black base.
- If casting into small moulds, warm the mould first

To ensure the longest possible shelf life once you get your product, we don't sit on stock for long periods. This means we can run out between deliveries. We suggest ensuring you have good ventilation, and protect your skin and eyes (use nitrile gloves only, don’t use latex with resin). If you work with a large amount of resin, or work with it often, you might want to invest in a VOC filtered face mask.
